Ojai Retreat - Group Retreats

The Ojai Retreat is an ideal location for small group events. We offer 12 bedrooms for your guests and the exclusive use of a Conference Room, Living Room, Quiet Room with a library, a community kitchen, several patios and gardens on a secluded 5 acre hilltop property. All of the above is included in the basic fees listed below. Groups need to book a minimum of 10 bedrooms. There is a 2 night minimum stay at weekends (Friday alone is accepted).

Ojai Retreat Group Rental Rates
(Including all bedrooms as of December, 2007)

1. Basic Fees (per night):

• Weekdays per night (12 rooms): $1,860.00
• Weekends & holidays per night (with 2 night minimum on regular weekends, 3 night minimum on holiday weekends): $2,550.00

The above costs include a fee of $500 on weekdays and $700 on weekend days to cover: (1) the exclusive use of the common areas (Conference Room, Quiet Room, kitchen, patios and gardens) for your group events and (2) additional fees associated with hosting a group event.

2. Discounts:

Weekday discounts offered:

  • 3rd weekday night = receive a 10% discount.
  • 4th weekday night = receive a 15% discount.
  • 5th weekday night = receive a 20% discount.
Weekend discounts offered: $200 discount per weekend night for every night over two (not including holidays). $100 discount if you take care of the individual room reservations directly. Partial group rentals are available – 10 or 11 rooms -- please inquire for availability and prices.

3. Additional Fees:

Additional guests (above 2 per room w/or w/of mattress or sofa-bed), price per person, per night: $35.00
Extra beds (rollaway or blow-up), independent of number of guests, price per bed, per night: $35.00
Refundable damage/cleaning deposit (to be refunded approx.1 week after stay): $500.00
Cleaning charge $20.00/hr
Surcharge for use of the Conference Room after check-out time on weekends (11 am): $50.00/hr
Surcharge for use of the Conference Room after check-out time on weekdays (11 am): $30.00/hr
For groups above 50 people, we charge an additional fee per day: $250.00
For special events (i.e. wedding receptions, concerts, special dinners, etc…): up to
50 people per event:
$1,000.00
For special events (wedding receptions, concerts, special dinners, etc…): up to
100 people per event:

$2,000.00

4. Additional Notes:

  1. We do not charge 10% bed tax because of our non-profit status (501, c, 3).
  2. The Ojai Retreat declines all responsibility if not all the rooms are used or if people cancel reservations.
  3. Room prices are based on 1-2 people occupancy, every person above 2 = surcharge of $35.
  4. Breakfasts are not provided.
  5. We are a smoke-free, t.v. free and pet-free facility.

5. Contract & Deposit:

A reservation becomes final only after signing of the contract and the payment of a non-refundable deposit of $200 (for administration fees). This deposit is applied towards your contract total. The contract balance is due in full 60 days before the event.

6. Cancellation Policy:

100% REFUND IF CANCELLED 60 DAYS OR MORE BEFORE EVENT - (no refund of deposit)
50% REFUND IF CANCELLED 20 TO 59 DAYS BEFORE EVENT - (no refund of deposit)
NO REFUND IF CANCELLED LESS THAN 20 DAYS BEFORE EVENT – (no refund of deposit)
